Secondary

Our Secondary Trainees experience a main placement in a Secondary School (KS3 and KS4) from September - July. Trainees also experience a half term in a contrasting Secondary School. 

Secondary Trainees will experience a one-week Primary Placement and also a short placement in Early Years. 

During the Primary Placement, Secondary Trainees will observe how their Secondary Subject specialism is taught in KS1 and KS2.

During the Early Years Placement, Secondary Trainees will observe early literacy (phonics), early Maths and have an opportunity to see how their Secondary Subject specialism is taught in Early Years.

Our Secondary Trainees will also have the opportunity to experience a Special School and Alternative Provision.

Secondary Trainees will engage with the full, weekly, evidence-based SCITT Centralised Curriculum and will also have half termly Subject Sessions, delivered by a SCITT Subject Leader.
